About
“Came as an angel, left as an ogre.”
“Came as an angel,
left as an ogre.”
Black Schwartz makes dark, lyrical folk music
— songs about wayward souls and forgotten roads,
angels, ogres, lovers, and seekers;
hymns to the bewildered heart and the mad passenger;
tales of good hope and hard luck, strange times and slow healing.
Grounded in singer-songwriter traditions of folk and country,
his melancholy songs summon
defiance, humour, and consolation.

Little Meadow
Indie-Folk · Alt-Country · Singer-Songwriter
Little Meadow, the debut album from Black Schwartz,
is a quiet gathering of tenderly crafted solo acoustic folk songs
born of grit and spiritual dust.
By ballad and reverie, mockery, promise, and prayer,
Little Meadow offers a wintry ode of remembrance
on the concrete and the ephemeral,
the lost and the torn.
